Sometimes the weather can really bring you down, especially if it's cold and rainy. On such an occasion it can be good to stay in-doors. But that can soon end up being boring. I know what it's like to be bored.

I also know what it's like to not be able to sleep. And being awake when everyone else is sleeping can make you feel lonesome. But my advice is not to worry too much about it. Sure, you have to get up the next day and probably do a bunch of important stuff. But even if you don't sleep at all you can still get through it. And the more you worry, the less likely you are to fall asleep. So, do you like white tigers? Do you like colors? And patterns? I do. I also like how Linda Kim paints.

She makes tigers and foxes and patterns. And also, when I was a kid I loved to build forts. Forts are wonderful things that you can build in your room and in the yard and share them or hide them from people. Kim paints that too. And how do they end in the trash because they are brown boxes that become castles and caves and ships and forests in your head.

I don't like her collaborations. They look like text book illustrations. Lame ones. I like when she draws snow mostly because I do like snow a lot. And snowy forests. And Mist.

Once I visited my friend Cass who draws and paints and makes porcelain sculptures. She lives in a forest in Mexico where it's always cold and rainy. She has some awesome となり. Cows. Horses. Wolves. She has a great pair of dogs and the air smells like wet grass at her house.

Kim would love to paint Cassie's place. I would too.
